Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

Real Madrid came from behind to demolish Real Sociedad 4-1 at the Bernabéu, though it took them until after the break to really put the visitors away. The first half was surprisingly competitive, with Sociedad matching Madrid's intensity and effort to level at 1-1 by the interval. The second half told a completely different story. Kylian Mbappé was in devastating form, putting on a masterclass that earned him a perfect 10/10 rating, and Madrid simply overwhelmed their opponents with clinical finishing. They carved out 20 shots across the match, 11 of them on target, while Sociedad managed just three efforts on goal despite enjoying parity in possession. The rout keeps Madrid's title push moving forward, though they'll know they were far from their best for large spells. Sociedad, who actually had more corner opportunities with seven to Madrid's four, will be frustrated they couldn't make more of their first-half showing. Once Madrid found their rhythm after the break though, it was only going one way.
