About Aston Villa FC
Aston Villa were founded in 1874 and have called Villa Park home for generations. The club has been a fixture of English football for nearly 150 years, with roots that run deep into the sport's history. Villa Park remains one of the country's most recognizable grounds, a place where the club's identity has been forged over decades.
The trophy cabinet tells the story of a club that has known great success at different eras. Villa won seven league titles spread across the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with their most recent top-flight championship coming in 1980-81. The FA Cup proved to be a particularly happy hunting ground, with seven wins across the decades from 1887 through to 1957. In the domestic cups, they claimed five League Cup victories between 1961 and 1996.
The highlight came in 1982 when Villa won the European Cup, cementing themselves among Europe's elite and adding the UEFA Super Cup to their haul that same year. It remains the pinnacle of the club's European achievements. More recently, Villa added another piece of silverware with their UEFA Europa League triumph in 2026, a modern success that gave supporters something to celebrate in the 21st century.

Unai Emery
Unai Emery took over as Aston Villa manager in the autumn of 2022, bringing with him experience from his time at Villarreal, where he spent two seasons before moving to Birmingham. The Spanish coach has settled into the role at Villa Park and continues to shape the club's direction.
