Crystal Palace Football Club was founded in 1905 and has called Selhurst Park home ever since. The South London outfit has spent most of its existence as a fixture in English football's middle tiers, though they've had their moments in the spotlight.

The club's early success came in the lower divisions. They won the Third Division in 1920-21, then had to wait decades before claiming the Second Division title in 1978-79. That set the stage for their finest hour in the league—the 1993-94 season when they captured the First Division championship, establishing themselves as genuine contenders in the top flight. Their highest finish came in 1990-91 when they narrowly missed out on a title, ending third.

For much of their existence, Palace were known as nearly-men when it came to the big prizes. That changed recently. The club won their first-ever major trophy by claiming the FA Cup in 2025, followed immediately by the FA Community Shield the same year. They then completed a remarkable treble of sorts by winning the UEFA Conference League in 2025-26, bringing home their first European trophy. After a long wait, success has finally arrived at Selhurst Park.

Pierre Sage took over as Crystal Palace manager in June 2026 on a three-year contract. The French coach arrives at Selhurst Park after a spell in charge of RC Lens, having previously managed Olympique Lyonnais.
