About Hull City Association Football Club

Hull City was founded in 1904 and has spent more than a century as a fixture of English football. Based at the MKM Stadium, the club represents one of England's major cities and has built a considerable following over the decades.

The Tigers have enjoyed real success at the third tier of English football, winning the Third Division North / Third Division / League One title on four occasions. They first claimed the prize in 1932-33, then again in 1948-49 and 1965-66, establishing themselves as one of the division's strongest sides. A much longer wait followed before their fourth title came in 2020-21, a triumph that reflected the club's enduring competitive spirit across different eras.

Hull City's greatest achievements in recent times have come via the Championship play-offs. The club has won the play-offs three times—in 2008, 2016, and 2026—securing promotion to the Premier League on each occasion. Those victories rank among the proudest moments in the club's modern history and have given supporters some unforgettable days out at Wembley.

Sergej Jakirović

Sergej Jakirović took over as Hull City head coach in June 2025 after spending the first half of the season at Turkish club Kayserispor, where he steered them away from relegation before leaving by mutual consent. The Bosnian-Croatian manager now faces the challenge of establishing himself in the Championship.
