About Everton FC

Everton Football Club was founded in 1878 and has spent well over a century as one of English football's heavyweight institutions. Based at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the club has built a considerable legacy in the domestic game, establishing itself as a genuine force during multiple eras of English football.

The trophy cabinet tells a story of sustained success across generations. Everton won the English top-flight title on nine occasions, with their first coming in 1890-91 and their most recent in 1986-87. That run included back-to-back championships in 1984-85 and 1986-87, a period when the club was at the peak of its powers. The FA Cup has also proved a happy hunting ground, with five victories spread across the twentieth century—1906, 1933, 1966, 1984, and 1995. European success came in 1985 when they lifted the European Cup Winners' Cup, adding continental prestige to their domestic achievements.

Though the trophies have dried up in recent decades, Everton remains one of the English game's traditional powerhouses, a club with deep roots in the sport and a supporter base that has remained loyal through thinner times. The Hill Dickinson Stadium continues to host a side determined to return to the glory days that defined so much of the club's history.
