Barcelona Football Club was founded in 1899 and has called the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys home. From modest beginnings, the club grew to become one of football's great institutions, deeply woven into the identity of Catalonia itself.

The silverware tells a story of sustained excellence across more than a century. Barcelona have won La Liga 29 times, with their victories spanning from 1929 right through to recent years, including an especially dominant run in the early 1990s and again in the late 2000s and early 2010s. They've claimed the Copa del Rey on 32 occasions—far more frequently than any other trophy—with their first success coming in 1910. In European competition, they've won the UEFA Champions League five times, establishing themselves as one of the continent's elite. They've also collected the Copa del Rey Winners' Cup four times, the Supercopa de España 16 times, and lifted the FIFA Club World Cup on three occasions.

Success on this scale doesn't happen by accident. Barcelona's ability to compete year after year at the highest level, across multiple competitions and continents, reflects an organisation that has maintained its ambitions and standards through changing eras. That consistency of achievement is what separates the truly great clubs from the rest.

Head Coach

Hansi Flick

Hansi Flick took over as Barcelona manager in May 2024 and has since committed his future to the club with a contract extension through 2028. The German coach arrived at Camp Nou following his spell in charge of the national team between 2021 and 2023.
