Levante has been part of Valencia's sporting fabric since 1909, when the club was founded in the city's Benimaclet neighbourhood. For over a century, they've operated from Estadi Ciutat de València, building their identity as one of the region's traditional sides. Like many Spanish clubs of their era, they've experienced the long climb through various divisions that defines football outside the elite tier.

The club's trophy cabinet reflects their journey through Spain's lower reaches. They won the Tercera División seven times across the mid-20th century, establishing themselves as a consistent force at regional level. Success at Segunda División B level followed, with five titles spread across the late 1970s and 1990s, punctuated by a notable Copa de la España Libre victory in 1937. More recently, Levante have broken through at Segunda División level on three occasions: 2003-04 saw their first title at that grade, then they claimed another in 2016-17, and most recently in 2024-25. These achievements represent the high points of the modern era, suggesting the club has finally established itself at a competitive level after decades of striving.

Head Coach

Julián Calero

Luís Castro took over as Levante's head coach in December 2025, arriving fresh from a spell with French club Nantes earlier that year. The Portuguese manager now faces the task of steering the Valencia club through the remainder of the season.
