Tottenham Hotspur was founded in 1882 and has been a fixture of English football for well over a century. Based in North London, the club plays at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a modern ground that reflects the ambitions of a club with a proud history. The name and identity of Spurs have become woven into the fabric of the area, with generations of local supporters building a passionate fanbase.

The club's greatest success came in the 1950s and 1960s, winning the English top-flight title twice—in 1950-51 and 1960-61. The FA Cup has always been something of a specialty for Spurs, who have lifted it eight times across their history, with wins coming in 1901, 1921, 1961, 1962, 1967, 1981, 1982, and 1991. In Europe, the club won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1963 and later claimed three UEFA Cup or Europa League titles in 1972, 1984, and 2025. Domestically, the League Cup has been won on four occasions: 1971, 1973, 1999, and 2008. While major silverware has proved elusive in recent decades, Tottenham remains one of England's established clubs with a trophy collection that reflects genuine achievement at various levels of the game.

Roberto De Zerbi was appointed Tottenham manager on 31 March 2026, taking over on a permanent basis after a spell as interim boss. The Italian arrived from Marseille, where he spent two seasons in charge before making the move to North London.
