About Coventry City Football Club

Coventry City Football Club was founded in 1883 and has been woven into the fabric of the city for well over a century. The club has experienced the full range of what football can offer—genuine highs and some tough lows—but has always remained a significant part of Coventry's identity.

The Sky Blues' greatest achievement came in 1987 when they won the FA Cup, a moment that still resonates with supporters today. In the league, they've picked up titles at different levels: they won the Second Division in 1966-67, then added League One championship glory more recently in 2019-20. Earlier in the club's history, they claimed three Third Division South and Third Division titles across 1935-36, 1963-64, and that 2019-20 season. They've also won the EFL Trophy, taking that competition in 2016-17.

These days, Coventry City plays at the Coventry Building Society Arena. The club remains an important part of the local community, and fans continue to support a side with real history behind it. After everything the club has been through, there's a sense that better days might lie ahead.
