Barcelona made home comforts count at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Saturday, 10 October 2026, brushing aside Getafe with a comfortable 3-0 win. The hosts were well ahead by the break, two goals to the good at half-time, and never looked like letting that advantage slip. Getafe had no answer in the opening 45 minutes and struggled to get a foothold anywhere on the pitch, chasing shadows for long spells as Barcelona dictated the tempo. The second half followed much the same pattern, with Barcelona adding a third to put the result beyond any doubt. There was little drama after that, just a professional job seeing out the remaining minutes. For Getafe, it's a tough result to take on the road, offering nothing to build on. Barcelona, meanwhile, will be pleased with how routine this one ended up looking by full time.
