Lens left Stade de l'Aube with the points on Saturday, 17 October 2026, beating Troyes 1-3 in a Ligue 1 clash that swung heavily in the visitors' favour before the break. Troyes actually had reason for early hope, but Lens hit back twice to lead 2-1 at half-time and never really looked like letting that advantage slip. The hosts pushed for a way back after the restart, yet couldn't find the breakthrough that mattered. A third goal in the second half settled things and confirmed just how comfortable Lens had become by the closing stages. For Troyes, there's plenty to work on defensively after conceding three at home, and questions about their consistency will linger going into the next round of fixtures. Lens, meanwhile, will take real confidence from a away performance that showed composure once they'd established control, and this result should lift them nicely in the table as the season develops.
