Feyenoord vs ADO Den Haag

Feyenoord piled on the pressure at De Kuip on Sunday, 30 August 2026, but couldn't turn dominance into three points, drawing 2-2 with ADO Den Haag. The visitors actually led at the break, catching the hosts cold to go in 1-0 up despite barely getting out of their own half for long stretches. Feyenoord had 33 shots to ADO's 8 and controlled 69% of the ball, yet kept finding Kilian Nikièma and his defence in the way. Nikièma was immense all afternoon, and his display earned him the Man of the Match award with an 8.3 rating, thoroughly deserved given how little space Feyenoord's front line found. ADO nicked three corners to Feyenoord's eleven and made every one count, holding firm until the hosts finally dragged themselves level. A point apiece in the end, 2-2, and for Feyenoord it'll feel like two dropped rather than one gained after that first-half shock.

It finished 2-2 between Feyenoord and ADO Den Haag at Stadion Feijenoord (De Kuip), a scoreline that summed up a game short on clear separation between the two sides. Neither team could really take control of the ball for long, with Feyenoord holding 69% possession, close enough to an even split to explain why the game never settled into one side's favour. There were spells of pressure from both teams, but not enough to turn a share of the points into all three. Days like this are part of a long season, and how each side responds in their next fixture will say plenty about their form heading forward. Here is a closer look at how the two teams compared statistically.
