ADO Den Haag were made to work hard for a point at the Bingoal Stadion on Saturday, 19 September 2026, as Cambuur made the early running count. The visitors went in ahead at the break, having taken a 0-1 lead into half-time, and looked the sharper side for long spells after that. ADO needed something to change the game, and they eventually found an equaliser to make it 1-1, sparking relief around the home end rather than wild celebration given how the afternoon had gone. In the end it finished 1-1, a fair reflection of a match that swung from one spell of control to another without either side grabbing hold of it for good. For ADO, salvaging a point after trailing at the interval will feel like damage limitation more than anything to build on. Cambuur, having led for so much of the game, will be a touch frustrated not to have taken all three points away from The Hague, though a draw on the road is hardly a bad return.
The Matchup
ADO Den Haag and Cambuur drew 1-1 at Bingoal Stadion, in a game that could easily have finished either way. Neither team could really take control of the ball for long, with ADO Den Haag holding 63% possession, close enough to an even split to explain why the game never settled into one side's favour. Both sides had spells on top without ever pulling clear, and the shot count on the day backs up just how tight things were. A draw is rarely the result either team sets out to get, but on this occasion it was a fair reflection of ninety minutes where chances were shared roughly evenly. Below is a closer look at exactly how the numbers from the match broke down.
