Moreirense vs SC Braga

Braga came to Moreirense looking to dominate and largely did so, controlling possession and creating chances throughout. The visitors went ahead early but couldn't pull away, and Moreirense hit back to level things at the break. The home side grabbed a second-half lead that looked like it might spark an unlikely upset, but Braga had enough about them to force an equaliser and leave the Parque Desportivo with a 2-2 draw. Fran Navarro was the standout performer on the pitch, orchestrating much of Braga's attacking play despite their inability to find a winner. It was the kind of game where the stat sheet suggested one team was far superior – Braga had the bulk of the possession and more shots on target – yet the scoreline tells a different story. Both sides will take something from the point, though Braga might feel they should have converted their dominance into all three. Moreirense, for their part, will be reasonably satisfied with a draw against one of the league's stronger outfits.

Moreirense and SC Braga drew 2-2 at Parque Desportivo Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas, in a game that could easily have finished either way. Neither team could really take control of the ball for long, with Moreirense holding 36% possession, close enough to an even split to explain why the game never settled into one side's favour. Both sides had spells on top without ever pulling clear, and the shot count on the day backs up just how tight things were. A draw is rarely the result either team sets out to get, but on this occasion it was a fair reflection of ninety minutes where chances were shared roughly evenly. Below is a closer look at exactly how the numbers from the match broke down.
