Porto made the trip to Madeira on Saturday, 10 October 2026 and came away with a hard-fought 1-2 win over Marítimo at the Estádio do Marítimo. The home side had the better of the early exchanges and deservedly went in level at the break, having cancelled out an early Porto goal to make it 1-1 at half-time. It wasn't the smooth afternoon the visitors might have hoped for, but they found a way through after the restart to edge back in front and see the game out. The three points keep Porto firmly in the hunt at the top of the Primeira Liga table, even if the performance lacked some of their usual polish away from home. For Marítimo, there will be plenty of frustration. They matched one of the league's heavyweights for long spells and had the belief at the break that a result was there for the taking, only to come away with nothing to show for their efforts against a side that know how to grind out a win when it matters.
