LA Galaxy put on a dominant display at home against Charlotte FC, running out comfortable 3-0 winners that was settled well before the final whistle. Gabriel Pec was the standout performer, terrorizing the Charlotte defense throughout and earning man of the match honors. The Galaxy controlled proceedings from the start and had rattled three goals past their visitors by half-time, leaving little doubt about the outcome. The one-sided nature of the contest was reflected in the statistics. LA Galaxy had 14 shots with 12 finding the target, while Charlotte managed just four attempts on goal with only one on target. It was a chastening afternoon for the visitors, who offered precious little resistance once the Galaxy got going. The win sends a statement from Los Angeles while Charlotte will need to regroup quickly after a difficult evening in California.
