Seattle dominated St. Louis City from start to finish at Lumen Field, racing to a 2-0 halftime lead before putting the game completely out of reach in the second half. The Sounders' clinical finishing made the difference, with nine shots on target compared to just two from their visitors. Cristian Roldán was the standout performer, controlling the midfield and dictating play throughout what turned into a comfortable 4-1 victory. St. Louis never really got going despite matching their hosts' possession and actually earning more corner kicks. A couple of bright moments came too late and were quickly negated as Seattle's finishing quality simply proved too much. For the home side, it was exactly the kind of statement performance you want at this stage of the season.
