Real Salt Lake turned on the style in the second half to dispatch Houston Dynamo 3-0 at America First Field, leaving the visitors with plenty to ponder on the trip home. The first forty-five minutes were cagey, ending goalless despite Real Salt Lake enjoying slightly more of the ball. Houston actually had the better chances early on, forcing their hosts to be sharp at the back, but once the teams returned after the break, the home side found another gear entirely. The Dynamo couldn't contain the pace and intensity that came their way, and Real Salt Lake punished them ruthlessly with three second-half strikes. Zavier Gozo was immense throughout, orchestrating play with composure and earning the official Man of the Match rating, while Houston's afternoon went from frustrating to disappointing as they failed to convert their four shots on target into anything meaningful. It was a commanding display from the hosts that showed the difference between clinical finishing and wasted opportunities.
