San Diego FC vs FC Cincinnati

San Diego came away disappointed after throwing away a commanding position against Cincinnati at Snapdragon Stadium. The hosts dominated possession and had far more attempts on goal, but Cincinnati's Evander was everywhere when it mattered, keeping his side in the fight with some crucial interventions and offensive contributions that earned him a man of the match rating of 8.6. The visitors found their chances on the break, and when it counted, they finished them. By halftime it was 1-1, but San Diego pushed hard in the second half, only to let Cincinnati back in repeatedly. The 3-3 draw leaves both teams frustrated. San Diego had seven corners to work with and peppered the Cincinnati box throughout, yet couldn't convert that pressure into three points. Cincinnati never controlled the tempo but showed the kind of resilience that can win matches, and they nearly did here. It's a result that feels like two points dropped for San Diego and one gained for the visitors, though neither side will be thrilled with a stalemate after such an open, entertaining clash.

It finished 3-3 between San Diego FC and FC Cincinnati at Snapdragon Stadium, a scoreline that summed up a game short on clear separation between the two sides. Neither team could really take control of the ball for long, with San Diego FC holding 63% possession, close enough to an even split to explain why the game never settled into one side's favour. There were spells of pressure from both teams, but not enough to turn a share of the points into all three. Days like this are part of a long season, and how each side responds in their next fixture will say plenty about their form heading forward. Here is a closer look at how the two teams compared statistically.
