Nashville came from behind to edge New York City 2-1 at Geodis Park in an entertaining MLS clash. The visitors got their noses in front early on, but the hosts were level by halftime. Nashville took control after the break and found the winner, with Jeisson Palacios proving to be the difference-maker throughout. He was named man of the match for his performance, rating 8.3/10. The home side had the better of the second half and their superiority in possession during stretches showed in their shot count—12 attempts to City's 7, with six on target compared to four. It was a deserved three points for Nashville, who dominated the midfield battles and forced the issue down the wings with six corners to City's three. There were moments of sloppiness from both teams, but Nashville's hunger to get the job done was clear. For New York City, it's another away day that got away from them.
