Philadelphia got the job done at Subaru Park, edging Seattle 1-0 in a match that saw the Union dominate possession and territory. The hosts peppered the Sounders' goal with 15 shots, five of them on target, while Seattle managed just seven attempts with only one troubling the keeper. Kai Wagner was immense down the left, earning man of the match honors as the Union controlled the game from start to finish. The early goal proved decisive. Seattle had their chances to respond but never really threatened consistently enough, and with the Union winning the corner count 6-1 and controlling most of the play, three points felt well deserved. It's the kind of win that builds momentum, even if it wasn't a vintage performance—sometimes you take a grinding 1-0 at home and move on.
