San Diego pulled off a stubborn away victory at BMO Stadium, grinding out a 0-1 win that will frustrate LAFC after they dominated possession for large stretches. The home side had 15 shots and nine corners but couldn't find the back of the net, while San Diego soaked up the pressure and made their chances count. It stayed goalless at half-time, but the visitors broke the deadlock in the second half to claim all three points in a tightly contested match. LAFC pressed hard but lacked the clinical finishing needed to break through. San Diego's Manu Duah was outstanding on the night, earning man of the match honors as the visitors' defense held firm when it mattered. The loss stings for the home crowd, though LAFC will take some encouragement from their attacking output—they just couldn't convert their superiority into goals.
