About Wolverhampton Wanderers FC

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been a fixture of English football for nearly 150 years, founded back in 1877. Based at Molineux Stadium, the club has deep roots in the industrial heart of the Midlands and has been central to the region's sporting identity throughout that long history.

The club's greatest period came in the 1950s, when they won the English top-flight title three times in six years—in 1953-54, 1957-58, and 1958-59. That era established Wolves as one of the country's dominant forces. Beyond the league, they've won the FA Cup on four occasions: 1893, 1908, 1949, and 1960. The League Cup also came their way twice, in 1974 and 1980, rounding out a respectable trophy haul across the major competitions.

Like many big clubs, Wolves have experienced their share of ups and downs. After dropping from the top flight, they bounced back with Championship titles in 2008-09 and 2017-18, both times securing promotion back to the Premier League. These recent successes suggest the club remains capable of competing at the highest level.
