About West Ham United FC
West Ham United was founded in 1895 and has spent much of its existence in London's East End, where it became woven into the fabric of local life. The club's home is now London Stadium, though the Hammers have called several grounds their own throughout their long history. They're a club with genuine tradition and a genuine fanbase to match—the kind of place where football matters.
On the pitch, West Ham has never quite managed to land the big prize. A top-flight title has eluded them across all their years, despite coming closest when they finished third in 1985-86. Where they have found success is in cup competitions. They've won the FA Cup three times, lifting it in 1964, 1975, and 1980. They also won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1965, and picked up the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1999. After a long wait—58 years—they ended their European trophy drought by winning the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2023, which also marked their first major trophy since that 1980 FA Cup win. It's the kind of achievement that can define a season, and for a club that's learned patience, it felt like a moment that mattered.

Nuno Espírito Santo
Nuno Espirito Santo took over as West Ham manager at the end of September on a three-year contract. The Portuguese coach arrives from Nottingham Forest, where he spent the last two seasons before making the move to the London Stadium.
